What insurance do you take?
This practice does not accept insurance. It is a fee-for-service practice. The prices of appointments are clearly listed in the Services and Pricing section and payment is made at the time of the consultation/visit.
A receipt with an ICD-10 code will be provided for the patient to submit to insurance. Medicare will not likely reimburse for these services. Coverage by other plans is usually as an out-of-network provider. Most HSA and FSA plans will cover your visit and testing costs.

Can I get my prescriptions through Mindful Family Medicine?
There will be no Controlled Substance prescriptions written out of this practice. The harm that long-term use of opioids, benzodiazepines and sleep medications has caused patients is staggering. Chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety will be addressed with physical, dietary and stress-management strategies.
Chronic medications such as blood pressure pills and diabetic medications can be prescribed.
Where is your office?
I am in search of a new location. In the interim, existing patients will be able to receive consultations via telemedicine (video) and phone.
How will you do blood draws and other tests?
Labs will be ordered by Dr. Jain. They will need to be drawn by Quest, Labcorp, independent laboratories or at a Hospital. Payment for these tests will be made by the patient to the lab.
Basic urine dips and glucose checks can be done in the office if indicated and will be included in the package prices.
Specialized tests of saliva (for cortisol levels), stool (for microbiome analysis), urine (for toxic metals) can be performed with kits sent to your home through specialized laboratories.
Note: whenever possible, Dr. Jain will use her clinical skills for diagnosis, and only order tests if absolutely necessary.
Some doctors will be able to draw bloodwork as requested by Dr. Jain, but they are under no obligation to do so and will need the patient sign a payment waiver in case the lab is not covered by insurance.
Xrays will not typically be necessary in this type of treatment plan.
